Dr. Gentry Patrick, recipient of this year's Ray Thomas Edwards Award

UCSD biologist Dr. Gentry Patrick is the recipient of this year's Ray Thomas Edwards Career Development Award in the Biomedical Sciences. The award is intended to foster the development of biomedical researchers who are early in their careers and to help them make the critical transition to becoming independent investigators. Dr. Patrick joined UCSD Biological Sciences during the 2004-05 academic year. Since the award's inception in 1997, Dr. Patrick is the first member of UCSD Biological Sciences to receive the honor. He is a member of the Section of Neurobiology.
